GZ Port transported over 3000 imported automobiles via sea-rail link in 2018

A container train carrying 249 imported BMW cars left Xinsha area of the Port of Guangzhou on December 3 and was scheduled to arrive at Qinglong Railway Station in Chengdu five days later. This was the 14th batch of imported cars, 3,202 in total, that were transported via the sea-rail route from the Port of Guangzhou to China’s inland areas in 2018, a breakthrough in sea-rail transportation of commercial automobiles.

To meet the increasing number of imported cars, The Xinsha port area invested in an automatic hydraumatic installing platform exclusively for commercial cars. The port purchased two mobile installing platforms in July to improve the freight and speed of car transport, which are handled in three lanes and on three platforms. Manufacturers and customers of commercial imported cars have praised the port’s Order to Delivery (OTD) for logistics inquiry and the Vehicle Identification Number(VIN) for dynamic tracking.

      12月3日深夜23:48分,满载249台“宝马”进口商品车的海铁联运班列从广州港新沙港发运,预计5天后到达四川青龙站场。该批次进口商品车是今年从广州港发运的第14批,2018年,广州港集团累计完成发运进口商品车3202台,实现了商品车“海路 铁路”模式发运商品车到内陆地区的飞跃性突破。

      一年来,在集团的统一部署下,广州港物流公司主动出击,做好商品车代理业务,主动走访商品车生产、销售企业,征求客户意见,及时改进服务,树立铁路企业商品车整车物流的品牌形象。

      随着厂商发运量的加大,新沙港投资建设了商品车专用自动式液压装卡平台,并在7月份新增了两台移动装卡平台,实现3个平台3条车道同时作业,不但提升了发运速度,而且加大了每次发车的发运量。同时,物流公司要求装车公司不断完善商品车整车物流信息平台(OTD),以车辆识别码(VIN)查询提供全程动态跟踪等一系列服务项目,得到了厂商与客户的一致好评。
